RedSeal Networks solutions include providing network visibility, analytics, network risk assessment and automated intelligence to understand network security gaps and to prevent cyberattacks.
The RedSeal Platform also comes with standalone software (thick client) that can be deployed on Windows servers. This platform imports the network configuration and builds a virtual reality model of the network. We were approached by Redseal to design web-based applications interfacing with these servers for network security monitoring to be used by large enterprises.
Conceptualizing and wireframingThe solutions on RedSeal platform are quite complex without understanding networking concepts. The volume of information depicting the network architecture, vulnerabilities, etc. on the standalone software made it difficult to interact and comprehend the network analysis. Most of the queries that are used for analysis were difficult to find and use. We needed to address these issues while making the apps to be modular and easy to use.
An overall webframe work was designed to host the applications – Network query, Threat query, Network path analysis, Security impact analysis, Reports etc. Established design patterns for navigation, flow of information and dealing with data for common input queries.We provided consistent UI interactions to promote consistency between apps. Applications included modules like Dashboards, Risk heat maps, Detailed network path explorer, End-to-end access queries and best practice checks.
